'Twilight' fans can now rent Bella Swan's Oregon home on Airbnb

The use of wooden granite top splashback suits to the modern contemporary interior of the house with a green touch. The franchise setting was Forks, Washington, but filmmakers used St. Helens, Oregon, (just outside of Portland) as the house location. Kristen and Dylan always look great together, not just in their style but also in their love for each other.

Swan House

All the indoor scenes for Breaking Dawn were filmed at another Cullen house built inside a sound stage in Baton Rouge, Louisiana against a green screen. Both in the movie and in real life the house is surrounded by trees, with the real one being set right on the edge of Portland’s Forest Park. Located amidst the woods, the home is as private as can be, with sound-recording security cameras adding to its safety and privacy. After the movie wrapped, Koenig said he decided to keep house with the same paint scheme used in the film. "The choices the filmmakers really made the house shine," he said. "If you ever have the chance to have your room colors picked by a production designer, you won’t be sorry."

Two Twilight Themed Hotels To Book While Visiting

The filmmakers removed the layers of enamel paint to restore the original wood before shooting the movie here. For the first time ever, you are now able to experience the inside of the home, lovingly referred to as the Twilight Swan House. This house was featured as the home of Charlie and Bella Swan in the movie Twilight. The story and fun performances are one of the things that bring audiences coming back. However, there’s no question that the film does an amazing job of portraying the Pacific Northwest with its fog and deep woods.

The Twilight Cullen house, aka the Cullen’s family residence, is located in Portland, Oregon, and compared to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater. Today, the home boasts 4-bedrooms, 3-bathrooms, and enough lush greenery to provide optimal privacy for creatures of the night. According to Insider, the house is located in Saint Helens, OR, which is around 30 miles north of Portland. The house is decked out in replicas from the film from the roof to the basement, including Bella’s film-accurate room decor and near-accurate bedspread. The quilt her mom gave her is there, and even the living room looks like the humble abode Charlie Swan lived in. It’s an ultimate bucket list activity for fans of the franchise.

Forks High School (spoiler: it’s not in Forks)

It’s a lot of fun to be in the places that are prominent in the book, especially the clock tower and the steep streets. Twilight has such a mystical quality for fans, and these places will not disappoint. With other franchises like Harry Potter or Star Wars, fans have to pay big bucks to go to the real-life equivalent of these fictional worlds. But for fans of Twilight, Forks has been here from the beginning and is just a quaint little town in Washington. It’s been operated as a vacation rental since the couple purchased it, allowing fans of the series to spend the night (or week!) living like the Swans.

Many fans of the movie see the house and naturally wonder, “Where is the Cullen house from ‘Twilight’ located? ” However, Jeff Kovel has a different name for it according to an article by the Wall Street Journal. Kovel calls it the ‘Hoke House’ for its real-life owner, John Hoke, the director of footwear design at Nike. Mr. Hoke bought the home, also built on spec, just a few days after it hit the market in 2007, Mr. Kovel says”.

La Push Beach (Indian Beach at Ecola State Park, Cannon Beach, Ore.)

Just a few blocks away from Bella’s House is the Forks Community Hospital building, where Carlisle Cullen worked as a doctor in the books and movies. Cullen Vampire Parking Only” sign as a nod to their famous (fictional) medical resident. Aka the Miller Tree BnB (which you can rent!) this is dubbed the proper Cullen house!

At first this made us all a little uneasy, but it didn’t take long for us to all get really in to it. Specifically, fans have flocked to the home where Bella Swan, series lead character, lived with her father Charlie. When the home went up for sale in 2018, mega fans Amber and Dean Neufield decided to take the plunge and buy it, with the explicit goal of restoring the 1935 house to the glory it saw during filming. Dine at Charlie’s actual dining table that was used in filming. Sleep in the “lookout” room, overlooking the front yard, which is where Bella looks out the window to see Edward parked. However, it’s worth noting that only the exterior of this home made an appearance on the screen.

Not to throw shade (get it?) on the entire set construction/CGI industry, but Mother Nature does a way better job at building forests. This 9,000+ acre wooded wonderland features waterfalls, caves, wildlife (insert werewolf joke here), and the most gorgeous flora and fauna you've ever seen. It's the perfect setting for Edward to take Bella to the top of a zillion-foot tree, and to deliver the best line in the movie ("Wrap your legs around me like a spider monkey").

The movie version of Bella Swan's house is a white clapboard number in the quaint town of St. Helens, Ore. The movie version of the mod manse where Edward (Robert Pattinson) lives with his Vam Fam is 30 miles away in Portland. Edward (a.k.a. the fast vampire) could literally run to Bella's window in minutes! We know, Twilight is just a movie, vampires are fictional, love fades, yada yada yada, but still, details like this make the story feel real, and we love it. The “Cullen House,” but Mr. Kovel calls it the “Hoke House” for its real-life owner, John Hoke, the director of footwear design at Nike. Mr. Hoke bought the home for $2.5 million, just a few days after it hit the market.

But (unlike our attempts) you might be surprised to learn that Forks is a real place, and you can find it on any map of Washington state — population hovering around 3,000+ and cloudy as all get-out. The town sign featured in Twilight's opening minutes (the one with "Forks" cut out of wood like an eighth-grade shop project) is the real thing, too. There's no shortage of moody Pacific Northwest locales on Twilight's film set roster, and you can visit many of them yourself in real life. The house actually doesn’t look much different from what you see in the film.
